The Treasure of Life
“Wherever you go in this life, you won’t find a pillow
Better than a mother’s arms.”
September, 2008; the black day
My tears were falling like a waterfall
When I heard words that cut my heart to pieces with knives
“Your grandmother has gone!”
I couldn’t say a word
I blamed myself for losing her
Not because I disrespected her one day
But because she was gone before I could hug her
I blamed myself because I felt that I gave her less than what she deserved
Heaven is under mother’s feet
My mother is paradise on earth
She cares about me
Starting the moment I was delivered to this life
When my diamond eyes came across softly to her eyes!
When I was cradled in her warm hands like a tiny nut
My mother is the first school in my life
She is knowledge
My mother always wishes the best for me
But do I give her what she deserves?
My mother is the tree and nest that keeps her birds
Safe between her branches
When I sleep she is still awake
Thinking about my future
When I feel ill her tears never stop
She wakes up early every morning
To check on me
And even when she feels ill
She never stops holding me in her warm arms
She never stops kissing me on the forehead
But do I always make her happy??
I will always love her even when she is strict with me
Because I know that she loves me no matter what
Mother
I’m fortunate to have you beside me all the time
Having you in my life means a lot to me
Respecting mothers adds life to life
