Where is the American Dream?
Where is that dream that everybody seeks?
Where is that dream that kills people in the desert?
That drowns millions of lives in the deep sea
Where is that dream that makes my dad work hard?
In the sun…
In despair…
Where is the American Dream?
How can someone achieve their dreams?
First: Risk your life in the desert.
Second: Find a job that you are going to hate.
Third: Sacrifice your self.
Fourth: Get into despair.
Fifth: Believe in what the radio, TV, newspaper says.
Sixth: Sacrifice a little more. Why not?
Seventh: Do something wrong. Lose everything.
Eighth: Return to your country.
Ninth: You do something wrong… again!
Tenth: Return to America. Start again…
Where is the American Dream?
It’s so hard to achieve
One million fingers pointing
“It is entirely your fault.”
They forget that three million fingers are pointing back.
Where is the American Dream?
It starts with A-M-E-R-I-C-A,
And ends with D-R-E-A-M.
D… dreaming, hoping, and achieving a change in your life.
R… remembering that by having a dark start you can appreciate the light at the end.
E… emerging and creating a reputation of a man with profession and perseverance.
A… achieving and never being satisfied because we know there is always something better.
M… missing your family and living with songs half written, work half finished.
Who can know which roads our injured feet have walked?
Which hills of peace or pain we climbed just to reach the
American Dream.
