Dropping out of school is a very bad idea. Why? Because it makes your life a whole lot harder. You’ll probably miss out on a lot of opportunities and it will make it harder for you to get a job. Without a job, you can’t really be successful in life. It is important to have a degree in life because every degree earns you a higher salary. A professional degree can give you up to $80,000 a year. On the other hand if you don’t graduate and don’t have a high school diploma, you will likely only make around $25,000 a year.

People are most likely to drop out of school because of difficult situations like teen pregnancy, poverty, laziness, or they just get bored of school. If you’re getting bored with school, try to make school fun; and don’t do things that can get you in trouble. I’m telling you this because some people drop out because they don’t like waking up in the morning, getting ready, and going to school. They drop out because they don’t like doing that every morning. If you hate school because of that, then do something differently every morning when you wake up for school, find a way to motivate yourself…

I have a friend named Brad, and he really doesn’t have any idea what he is doing in school. He really doesn’t have good grades which obviously makes him want to drop-out. One thing that students, like my friend Brad, don’t really know is that in almost every school, including Catalina, there are programs to help students with their school work. At Catalina, there’s a place called the Wellness Center. It is dedicated to helping students with their school work and giving them clothes and school supplies. One thing I keep on telling my friends who are planning to drop-out is that they should find a way to have fun in school, work hard, finish school and get a very well paid job and satisfy their needs.

Listen if you’re thinking of dropping out because you’re in a bad situation like teen pregnancy or poverty, then don’t. Teen pregnancy is a bigger reason to stay in school, because you need to get a good job, so then you could provide food for your child. For people who are thinking of dropping out because of poverty, then you should know that there are schools that provide free clothes and utilities, so that the student could learn and stay in school.
