Behave History:

The things you should do to get respect are:

1. First you should respect yourself. If you have respect for yourself, you feel better.

2. When you feel better, you feel like helping others.

3. When you help others, they feel better about themselves.

4. Then people have respect.

There are students who have no decency here at Catalina. For example, when you see somebody dropped something, you should say, “Excuse me, you dropped something.’’ But when you see this and you don’t stop to tell him, you look like you just want his thing he dropped. Then, if you step over his stuff too, then people will think badly and you will not have respect. When teachers are talking in class and you try to make noise with other students, then you look like you don’t respect teachers. And when you are cursing at someone for nothing, then you don’t respect people.

I am surprised to see some students here at Catalina that don’t like some other students. There are some students that are able to help, and they don’t help. They don’t feel respect for other students because they are not willing to help.Although many students don’t show respect, I like to help them because they help me to learn something in return. They can also help others.

I remember when I came from Tanzania to Tucson; it was March 20, 2008. When I started school, I was afraid to talk to people because I didn’t speak English. One day I met one boy in school whose name was Manasseh. He said, “I am going to teach you how to speak English.” He was a good person to help people who don’t speak English. I was respecting him completely because he was teaching me how to know the students here at Catalina High School. A few days passed and I began to strive to gradually do my homework with my friend because he was speaking English very well. We respected each other very much because he was willing to help me. Now I want to help other people because he helped me before when I wasn’t able speak English.

Respect your school, respect your teachers, and respect other students. Respect your classes. Respect your parents, respect your brother, your sister and even Our Redeemer. You can have a good life if you respect people here in this world.
